The GAN Backstitch Rug, designed by Raw Edges, has been delicately embroidered by the artisans of the GAN Women’s Unit in India.

Inspired by the hidden beauty of intricate patterns created on the back of rugs during the traditional embroidery process, the GAN Backstitch Collection embodies innovative, artistic contemporary design. Backstitch Calm is defined by two contrasting elements, a soft linear pattern of one block colour and an embellished, irregular edge of thick, layered stitches. The contrasts in colour and stitch unite as one to convey the complexity and beauty of the handmade embroidery process, creating a stylish, meaningful design language. Perfect for positioning near a bed or for placing under a coffee table, the rug's subtle yet distinctive design adds a new dimension of depth and texture to a room.
