Designed by Ilmari Tapiovaara, the Domus chair was designed for the Domus Academica student housing in Helsinki.

The Domus Chair was designed to be a true all-purpose chair to meet the diverse needs of the Domus Academica student housing in Helsinki, serving as a work chair in student rooms, but also in the hallways, auditoriums and canteens. It has since become a Scandinavian design icon, working equally well in the home as a dining chair or as an eye-catching occasional seating solution.

Materials & finishes
Stackable multipurpose chair with seat and back in form pressed birch plywood. Frame and armrest of solid birch. Also available in solid oak finish.
