Reading Chair - Veneered Seat

The chair was first designed by Juhl in 1953 for the company Bovirke, intended to act as both a dining and reading chair and to be comfortable whether you chose to sit facing the front or the back. Defined by beautiful subtle details, such as rounded back and seat shells, a curved horizontal top piece that sits just above the back, and an embracing, supportive frame, the chair is as comfortable as it is stylish. The Reading Chair has been expertly crafted from a mixture of Oak and Walnut, forming a sturdy, organic design that can adapt and grow with an interior space over time. The Reading Chair is also available with an upholstered seat.
